Show Series 1, Episode 1: ”Recognizing your autistic child” – Leonora, Annie and a group of talk show participants from our Global Autistic Community will be discussing how parents may have recognized autism in their own child, or that their child may be autistic. What struck them as different or as special talents, possible unique to the autistic paradigm, the autistic way of doing things? We will look at information gathering and what resources are available today versus 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago. Has the journey been easy and what tools does a parent need to navigate the systems in society when relating to autistic child or the child with autism?
Annie will discuss what she discovered by writing her first and then her second book. Through her book discussion we will share how Children Express themselves, whether autistic or not.
