Introductory Workshop: The Autistic Paradigm from the Inside Out
This one day (6 hour) workshop is designed to have the participants experience (for the first time) “The Autistic Paradigm from the inside out” – how autistic people feel and experience a variety of situations. The purpose is to empower the educators and parents/care-givers to connect what they learn about the Autistic Paradigm to their own experiences and perceptions. Using student profiles, including the history of the autistic individuals’ life experiences, the educator or participant/care-giver can bridge what they learn to daily application in the classroom, home and surrounding community environments.
Our Introductory Workshop was created for:
Parents, Teachers, Support Staff, Field Workers, Management (admin staff, principals, coordinators), Therapeutic Professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Registered Psychologists Associates), Early Childhood Educators, Child Development Centre Staff, Preschool and Day Care Educators.

**Prerequisite: Completion of the Introductory Workshop
Our Three Day Training Series was created for:
Parents, Teachers, Support Staff, Field Workers, Management (admin staff, principals, coordinators), Therapeutic Professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Registered Psychologists Associates), Early Childhood Educators, Child Development Centre Staff, Preschool and Day Care Educators.
What participants experienced in the three day training series:
“Thought provoking, paradigm shifting, belief challenging program for the benefit of all our students. I’ve learned to work from where the student’s are and not from where someone else thinks they should be. It’s their journey so we should never impose our path.” Catherine Hendry, Educator, School District 91, B.C., Canada – Spring 2008
“ANCA helps develop a solid foundation to support the learner. They impress how important experiential learning and gaining entry points are. The ability to bridge from current experiences to other types of goals are valuable skills practiced and learned.” Denise Milne, Dept. Head (retired) EBUS Academy – Spring 2008
“This training program has been extremely beneficial. It is so important to apply the four step process towards all students. When one has something to relate to; it is easier to process new information therefore output is successful. This is a very valuable learning tool.” Suzanne Eftobie, Topley Elementary School, B.C., Canada – Spring 2008
