Introducing Simon Gidora from the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. It is with great honor that Simon Gidora will be representing the Sunshine Coast performing at the 2015 6th annual World Autism Festival in Vancouver. A resident of Halfmoon Bay, Simon Gidora is currently studying violin with Mary Sokol-Brown of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and chamber music under the direction of Andrew Dawes at the Vancouver
Academy of Music. Simon has won multiple awards at both the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival and the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts. Simon was runner-up in the solo violin category at the Provincial Music Festival in 2014. He was also a member of the Forza String Quartet, which represented BC at Canada’s National Music Festival and went on to win first place. Simon currently plays with a piano trio.

Bio: Over the past year, since receiving recognition at the 5th annual AWAF event and INAP award, Curran has been continuing his stand up career including gigs at Marchtoberfest and at the Tall Trees Music Festival and is scheduled to perform at IfCon2015. The short film he starred in had continued to show at film festivals such as the Victoria Film Festival and most notably, the Cannes Film Festival. He also had his first paid acting role in a feature length film.
