Lars Perner Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Marketing, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California

Lars Perner’s research interests focus in non-profit marketing, sponsored fundraising, consumer behavior, consumer price response, branding, and bargain hunting. His work has been published in the Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Consumer Affairs, and Journal of Consumer Psychology. He currently serves as a faculty coordinator for the Department of Marketing’s undergraduate introductory marketing course sections, which serve approximately 1,600 students every academic year.

Diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome Lars has a strong interest in supporting greater education and understanding of autistic people in our communities. He is a board member of the Autism Society of America and a well respected and sought after speaker. Lars has published many scholarly articles including “Evaluating the college transition needs of individuals with high-functioning autism spectrum disorders”; “Explicit versus implicit social cognition testing in autism spectrum disorder ; “PLANNING FOR THE HIGH FUNCTIONING STUDENT WITH AUTISM”– among many others”. Leslie Catherine Jones

Leslie started her career in 1975, working as a weekend houseparent at a treatment centre for children with autism (Laurel House) while completing her degree at the University of British Columbia. Leslie worked at Laurel House and the Autism Society of British Columbia prior to joining CBI in 1997. Leslie has been the Executive Director of CBI Consultants since 2006.

CBI Consultants was established in 1990, in British Columbia, Canada. Since 1990, CBI has supported more than 5,000 persons with complex developmental, mental health, and behavioural needs. We are a group of professionals with diverse backgrounds including early childhood education, education, psychology and rehabilitation.
